Olympic champion Noah Lyles reignites his 100m rivalry with Letsile Tebogo at Saturday’s sold-out Diamond League meet in London, marking his first race over the distance in 2025.

The American beat Tebogo in the 200m in Monaco last week, clocking 19.88sec on his return from injury.

Tebogo, who claimed 200m Olympic gold last year, acknowledged Lyles’ star power ahead of another highly anticipated showdown.

The men’s 100m field is packed with talent, including Britain’s Zharnel Hughes, Jeremiah Azu, and Louie Hinchliffe, along with Jamaica’s Oblique Seville, Ackeem Blake, and South Africa’s Akani Simbine.

A crowd of 60,000 is expected at the London Stadium, with the meet featuring 75 Olympic and World Championship medalists.

Julien Alfred, fresh from a 10.79sec win in Monaco, leads the women’s 200m field. She will face Britain’s Dina Asher-Smith, Daryll Neita, Amy Hunt, and America’s Brittany Brown.

The men’s 1500m sees British stars Jake Wightman and Josh Kerr reunite, though Norway’s Jakob Ingebrigtsen withdrew due to injury. Phanuel Kipkosgei Koech arrives with the world’s fastest time this season.

In the women’s 800m, Laura Muir, Jemma Reekie, and Georgia Bell lead the home charge, while Uganda’s Halimah Nakaayi and Jamaica’s Natoya Goule-Toppin add depth.

Kenya’s Emmanuel Wanyonyi tops the men’s 800m field as contenders aim to challenge David Rudisha’s 1:40.91 world record set at the same venue in 2012.
