Super-Sub Sesko Fires United into Top Four.
Manchester United boss Michael Carrick hailed Benjamin Sesko after the striker’s
cool finish sealed a 1-0 win at Everton on Monday night.
Still yet to start under Carrick, Sesko has now scored off the bench in three of his
last four appearances.
The 22-year-old combined with fellow summer signings Matheus Cunha and Bryan
Mbeumo before slotting home his sixth goal in seven games since Ruben Amorim’s
exit in January.
The victory lifted United into the Premier League top four, three points clear of
Liverpool and Chelsea in the race for Champions League football.
Carrick, unbeaten with five wins and a draw, also praised his side’s resilience and
goalkeeper Senne Lammens, whose key saves secured a third clean sheet in six
games.
