Brazil forward Neymar has been included in Carlo Ancelotti’s 26-man squad for this
summer’s FIFA World Cup after nearly two years away from the national team due to
injuries.

The 34-year-old Santos star, Brazil’s all-time leading scorer with 79 goals, is set to
play at his fourth World Cup after previous appearances in 2014, 2018, and 2022.

“We spent the entire year analysing Neymar,” Ancelotti said. “We realised that in this
last period, he had continuity and was in good physical condition.”

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker also made the squad despite injury concerns,
alongside Manchester United pair Casemiro and Matheus Cunha, Newcastle’s Bruno
Guimaraes, Arsenal defender Gabriel, and Barcelona winger Raphinha.

Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior and teenage striker Endrick were also selected, but
Chelsea forward Joao Pedro missed out despite an impressive domestic campaign.

Brazil begins its World Cup campaign against Morocco on June 13 before facing
Haiti and Scotland in Group C.
