SPURS STAY ALIVE AS WEMBANYAMA LEADS CHARGE AGAINST KNICKS IN GAME 3.
Victor Wembanyama delivered a superstar performance with 32 points, eight
rebounds and six assists as the San Antonio Spurs beat the New York Knicks 115-
111 in Game 3 of the NBA Finals.
Facing a potentially crushing 3-0 deficit, the Spurs responded with urgency, racing
into an early lead before holding off a spirited Knicks comeback to secure their first
win of the series.
Wembanyama led the way in the fourth quarter, while Stephon Castle added 23
points and knocked down a crucial late three-pointer. De’Aaron Fox also made key
contributions as San Antonio closed out the victory.
The Knicks were paced by Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby, but their 13-game
playoff winning streak came to an end.
The result cuts New York’s lead in the NBA Finals to 2-1 and keeps San Antonio
firmly alive heading into Game 4.
