SPAIN CRUISE PAST PERU IN FINAL WORLD CUP WARM-UP.
Spain underlined their World Cup credentials with a comfortable 3-1 victory over
Peru in their final friendly before the tournament.
Despite the absence of Lamine Yamal due to injury, the European champions were
rarely troubled as Mikel Oyarzabal fired them ahead after just two minutes with a
superb long-range strike.
Pedri doubled Spain’s advantage before an own goal from Pedro Gallese effectively
ended the contest early in the second half.
Jairo Vélez pulled one back for Peru, but Spain remained in control to complete a
convincing win ahead of their World Cup opener against Cape Verde.
The result extends Spain’s strong momentum and reinforces its status as one of
the favourites for the tournament.
