The English Premier League will kick off again this weekend following the international break. Rúben Amorim is gearing up for his debut match with Ipswich Town this Sunday after completing his first week of training with the team. As the sixth manager of Manchester United FC since the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement in 2013, he aims to restore the club to its former glory.
Amorim is determined to make a strong start, hoping to become the first coach since Sir Alex to win the Premier League title in over a decade. He stated, “I truly believe I am the right guy. I’m a bit of a dreamer, and I have faith in myself and the club. I think we share the same vision and mindset, which will be beneficial.”
In other fixtures, Leicester City will host Chelsea, while Arsenal will welcome Nottingham Forest. Arsenal, currently in fourth place and nine points behind league leaders Liverpool FC, needs a solid performance against Forest to keep their title hopes alive, as they trail reigning champions Manchester City by four points.
