Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola expressed satisfaction as his team dismantled Ipswich Town 6-0 on Sunday to climb into the Premier League’s top four.
Phil Foden starred with two goals and an assist, while Erling Haaland also found the net, helping City reach 38 points and regain their form after recent struggles.
“We’re back to playing the way this team has defined itself for the last decade,” Guardiola told Sky Sports. “It’s great to get the three points and move closer to Champions League qualification.”
The Spanish coach praised the improved performance, highlighting the team’s cohesion and defensive discipline as key factors in their success.
Ipswich, sitting 18th on 16 points, struggled to match City’s intensity. Defender Dara O’Shea acknowledged the loss as a tough lesson but urged his team to regroup and stay positive for future challenges.
