BOLIVIA RALLY PAST SURINAME, SET UP IRAQ DECIDER.
Bolivia came from behind to beat Suriname 2-1 in their inter-confederation playoff in
Mexico, keeping their 2026 World Cup hopes alive.
After dominating early chances, Bolivia fell behind just after the break when Liam
van Gelderen struck, but substitutes sparked a comeback as Moises Paniagua
equalised in the 72nd minute.
Miguel Terceros then sealed the turnaround from the penalty spot after a foul on
Juan Godoy, completing a crucial win.
The result sets up a decisive clash with Iraq for a place at the World Cup, as Bolivia
chase a first appearance since 1994.
