FRANCE EDGE BRAZIL TO EXTEND UNBEATEN RUN.
France continued their World Cup preparations with a 2-1 win over Brazil in a high-
tempo friendly, stretching their unbeaten run to eight games.
Kylian Mbappe opened the scoring with a composed chip after being played through
by Ousmane Dembele, before Hugo Ekitike doubled the lead with another clinical
finish despite France being reduced to 10 men after Dayot Upamecano’s red card.
Brazil pulled one back through Bremer late on, but could not find an equaliser, with
Mike Maignan producing key saves.
Les Bleus now head into the World Cup in strong form, while Brazil is left with
questions ahead of their remaining friendlies.
