INTER CLOSE IN ON SCUDETTO DESPITE COSTLY DRAW AT TORINO.
Inter Milan moved a step closer to the Serie A title despite being held away from
home to a 2-2 draw by Torino after letting a two-goal lead slip.
Inter appeared to be cruising after Marcus Thuram opened the scoring with a header
from Federico Dimarco’s cross, before Yann Bisseck doubled the lead from another
set-piece delivery.
The visitors dominated large spells and looked set to take all three points, but the
game turned when Giovanni Simeone reduced the deficit to spark Torino’s revival.
Momentum shifted further when a VAR-reviewed handball led to a penalty, which
Nikola Vlašić converted to level the match.
Despite the late setback, Inter remain 10 points clear of SSC Napoli with four
matches remaining and need just one more victory to mathematically secure the
Scudetto.
