LOOKMAN ON TARGET AS ATLETICO MADRID BEAT OSASUNA.

Super Eagles of Nigeria forward Ademola Lookman scored as Atlético Madrid
secured a 2-1 LaLiga victory over Osasuna at El Sadar on Tuesday night.

Diego Simeone’s side made a bright start in Pamplona and were rewarded after a
VAR review confirmed a handball inside the box, allowing Lookman to calmly convert
from the penalty spot for his eighth goal since joining Atletico in January.

Osasuna pushed for an equaliser and came close through Ante Budimir, but Atletico
remained in control before Alexander Sorloth doubled the visitors’ advantage in the
second half.

The game took another twist when Marcos Llorente was sent off late on, giving
Osasuna renewed hope, and Kike Barja pulled one back in stoppage time.

However, Atletico held firm to secure a third win in four league matches and
strengthen their push for a top-three finish.
