MAN CITY SEE OPENING BID FOR ELLIOT ANDERSON REJECTED BY NOTTINGHAM FOREST.
Manchester City have had an opening bid for Elliot Anderson rejected by Nottingham
Forest as they step up their pursuit of the England international.
The 23-year-old midfielder, who is also on Manchester United’s radar, is understood
to be open to a move to the Etihad Stadium after a standout season at the City
Ground.
Anderson has been named in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for the World Cup
and is expected to be one of the most in-demand midfielders of the summer window.
City, who have long tracked the former Newcastle academy graduate, are preparing
for a possible midfield reshuffle following Bernardo Silva’s departure.
Forest is holding firm for now, with Anderson’s valuation potentially pushing toward
a British transfer record.
Further talks are expected as City continue to prioritise strengthening their midfield
ahead of the new season.
