Rivers United boosted their Nigeria Premier League title hopes with a 3-1
win over Bendel Insurance at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.
Chijioke Mbaoma opened the scoring early in the second half before Wisdom
Samuel doubled the lead.
Bendel Insurance pulled one back late, but Samson Obi sealed the victory in
stoppage time.
Elsewhere, Rangers International thrashed Remo Stars 4-1 in Enugu, while Enyimba
fell into the relegation zone after losing 2-1 to Warri Wolves.
A goal from Ahmed Musa earned Kano Pillars a 1-0 derby win over Barau FC in
Kano.
