Alexander Zverev insists his Olympic gold medal remains the greatest achievement
of his career, even as he closes in on a maiden Grand Slam title at the French Open.

The German reached the semi-finals in Paris with a commanding 7-6 (3), 6-1, 6-3
victory over Spanish teenager Rafael Jodar, moving to within two wins of a first major
crown.

Despite his strong position, Zverev said nothing could replace the Olympic gold he
won in Tokyo.

“No chance,” he said when asked if he would trade the medal for a Grand Slam title.

“The gold medal for me is the most difficult thing to win because you only get a
chance every four years.”

The world number two also highlighted the pride of competing for his country,
describing Olympic success as something uniquely special.

While determined to finally capture a major title, Zverev made it clear he has no
intention of swapping his most treasured prize.

“I’ll never trade my gold medal for anything,” he said. “But I wouldn’t mind adding a
few more things to my list as well.”
