Oyebanji to Headline ABUAD Lecture on Leadership and Legacy
Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji is set to deliver the 2026 edition of the annual Afe Babalola Distinguished Personality Lecture at Afe Babalola University (ABUAD), Ado-Ekiti, on Tuesday.
The lecture, themed “Building Legacies: The Role of Governance in Ensuring Continuity and Seamless Succession,” will be held at the institution’s 10,000-capacity Alfa Belgore Multi-Purpose Hall.
The Afe Babalola Distinguished Personality Lecture Series, established in 2021 by the Department of Conflict, Peace and Strategic Studies, honours the Founder and Chancellor of the university, Afe Babalola (SAN).
According to organisers, the annual event aims to foster intellectual discourse on leadership, governance, and sustainable development, with a focus on shaping the future of Ekiti State and Nigeria at large.
This year’s lecture is expected to attract academics, policymakers, students, and other stakeholders interested in issues of governance, succession planning, and legacy building.
