The New York Knicks produced a strong finish to overturn the San Antonio Spurs
and claim a 105–95 win in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, taking an early series lead on
the road.

The Spurs looked in control for long stretches, but New York closed the game far
stronger, with OG Anunoby setting the tone early and Karl-Anthony Towns playing a
key role throughout.

San Antonio relied heavily on outside shooting in the opening stages, while injuries
to Jalen Brunson briefly disrupted New York’s rhythm before the guard returned to
spark a comeback.

Dylan Harper also provided an early lift for the Spurs, but the Knicks gradually grew
into the contest and tightened defensively as the game wore on.

Brunson and Anunoby combined to swing momentum late, with timely threes and
aggressive play, putting New York in control in the final minutes.

Victor Wembanyama finished with 26 points and 12 rebounds, but struggled with
efficiency as the Knicksdefence stepped up to take Game 1.
