Mohamed Salah believes Liverpool’s 2024-25 campaign is the best of his career after inspiring a crucial 2-0 victory over Manchester City at the Etihad.

The Egyptian forward scored the opener and assisted Dominik Szoboszlai as Arne Slot’s side extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to 11 points.

Despite Arsenal having a game in hand, Liverpool are now in a commanding position to claim a record-equalling 20th English title.

Salah, who now boasts 30 goals and 21 assists this season, emphasized the importance of securing another Premier League trophy alongside Liverpool’s veteran core, including Virgil van Dijk, Alisson, and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

“We need another title. Me and the big guys in the team, we need another one,” Salah said.

Liverpool’s first league win at the Etihad in a decade further dented City’s fading title hopes, leaving the defending champions 20 points adrift in fourth place.
