ATLETICO MOCK REAL AFTER REJECTING €150M OFFER FOR JULIAN ALVAREZ.
Atlético Madrid rejected a €150 million bid from rivals Real Madrid for Julián Álvarez
before responding with a series of mocking social media posts.
The offer, made after Real president Florentino Pérez was re-elected, was turned
down immediately, with Atletico pointing to Álvarez’s €500 million release clause.
The club then took to X to ridicule the bid, posting laughing emojis and joking that
Real’s approach provided more entertainment than Barcelona.
Álvarez, who joined Atletico in 2024, remains central to their plans after scoring 20
goals last season.
