BAYERN DELAY TITLE CELEBRATIONS AS TREBLE CHASE TAKES PRIORITY.
Bayern Munich may have sealed their 35th Bundesliga title, but the champions are
holding back on celebrations as they chase further silverware this season.
Bayern came from behind to beat VfB Stuttgart 4-2, opening a 15-point lead over
Borussia Dortmund with four games left. However, attention quickly shifted to
the upcoming semi-finals in both the German Cup and Champions League.
Midfielder Jamal Musiala hinted celebrations are being postponed, saying, “I think
we’re planning a proper celebration, probably at the last home game.”
Striker Harry Kane echoed that focus, adding: “For now we enjoy tonight, but then
obviously the full focus will be on Wednesday.”
Head coach Vincent Kompany also backed the decision, insisting, “We’re at a stage
where we can all live with waiting a little longer before we celebrate.”
With a domestic cup clash against Bayer Leverkusen and a Champions League
the semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain looming, Bayern are keeping their eyes firmly
on a potential treble.
