Inter Milan grabbed a dramatic 2-1 victory at Bayern Munich to take control of their Champions League quarter-final tie.

Bayern dominated early and nearly scored when Harry Kane struck the post, but Inter struck first as Lautaro Martinez rifled in a brilliant finish after a clever flick from Marcus Thuram in the 38th minute.

Thomas Muller came off the bench to equalise in the 85th minute, tapping home from Konrad Laimer’s cross in what looked to be a crucial lifeline.

However, Inter hit back just three minutes later, with Davide Frattesi slotting home Carlos Augusto’s cross to hand the Serie A leaders a huge win and end Bayern’s 22-game unbeaten home run in Europe.

The second leg takes place at San Siro on April 16.
