Harry Kane etched another milestone into the record books on Friday, netting twice in Bayern Munich’s 4-0 win over Werder Bremen to become the fastest player in Europe’s top five leagues to reach 100 goals for a club.
He achieved the feat in just 104 matches since his 2023 switch from Tottenham.
Yet while the goals continue to flow in Germany, speculation over a Premier League return refuses to go away.
Kane’s contract includes a break clause that would allow him to leave for around £54m at the end of this season, with Tottenham understood to have first refusal should he seek a comeback.
The England captain, currently second on the Premier League’s all-time scoring chart with 213 goals, remains within striking distance of Alan Shearer’s record 260.
Sources suggest he would be tempted by a Spurs return if Champions League qualification is secured for 2026/27, with the prospect further boosted by possible fresh investment at the club despite a recent rejected takeover bid.
Barcelona are also keeping watch should Kane decide against returning to England, but for now he maintains he is content in Munich.
Still, the lure of unfinished business in the Premier League is a storyline that lingers as strongly as his relentless goalscoring form.
