LUIS ENRIQUE TARGETS FINAL AS PSG RETURN TO MUNICH WITH SLIM LEAD.
Paris Saint-Germain head to the Allianz Arena for their Champions League semi-
final second leg against Bayern Munich, holding a narrow 5-4 advantage from a
thrilling first encounter.
The French side returns to the same venue where they lifted their first Champions
League title last year, and manager Luis Enrique admitted the setting brings added
motivation.
“Of course, we have brilliant memories here,” he said. “Coming back to Munich will
always be a real pleasure because we can remember what we experienced last
year.”
PSG’s first-leg win showcased their attacking strength, though Bayern’s late
fightback leaves the tie finely balanced heading into Wednesday’s clash.
Luis Enrique expects another open contest, insisting neither side will approach the
game cautiously.
“I think neither team accepts that the other is better, and that’s what this match will
reflect,” he said.
Despite their advantage, the Spanish coach made it clear PSG will not sit back.
“We try to win every game. We are certainly not here to defend,” he added.
