FOREST EDGE PORTO TO REACH FIRST EUROPEAN SEMI-FINAL IN 42YEARS.
Nottingham Forest booked a historic place in the Europa League semi-finals with a
tense 1-0 win over FC Porto at the City Ground.
The decisive moment came after Porto were reduced to 10 men, as Morgan Gibbs-
White’s deflected effort found the net to hand Forest control of the tie.
Despite chances to extend their lead, the hosts were forced to dig deep, with Porto
hitting the woodwork twice in a nervy second half.
Forest held on to seal their first European semi-final appearance in 42 years, setting
up an all-English clash with Aston Villa.
