GORY DOUBLE STUNS PSG AS PARIS FC CLAIM DERBY COMEBACK.
Paris FC came from behind to beat Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain F.C. 2-1
thanks to a dramatic late double from substitute Alimami Gory.
PSG, who were presented with the Ligue 1 trophy before kick-off, took the lead early
in the second half, when Bradley Barcola converted Fabián Ruiz’s cross at the back
post for his 11 th league goal of the season.
However, Paris FC continued to threaten and found a deserved equaliser in the 76th
minute as Gory turned in Pierre Lees-Melou’s cross-shot just minutes after coming
off the bench.
The hosts then completed a stunning comeback deep into stoppage time when Ilan
Kebbal broke clear and squared for Gory to tap into an empty net and seal a famous
derby victory.
PSG also suffered an injury scare after Ousmane Dembélé was substituted in the
first half as a precaution over a muscle issue ahead of the UEFA Champions League
final against Arsenal F.C. later this month.
The result capped a superb first season back in Ligue 1 for Paris FC, while PSG saw
their eight-game unbeaten away run come to an end dramatically.
