PORTO, FOREST PLAY OUT FIRST-LEG EUROPA QUARTERFINAL STALEMATE.
FC Porto and Nottingham Forest settled for a 1-1 draw in their Europa League
quarter-final first leg, leaving the tie finely balanced.
Porto dominated early and took the lead through William Gomes, who tapped in from
close range after sustained pressure.
Forest were gifted an equaliser soon after, as a wayward long back pass from
Martim Fernandes beat his own goalkeeper and rolled into the net.
Both sides had chances to win it, with Porto pushing for a second and Forest seeing
a goal ruled out after a VAR check.
The draw leaves everything to play for ahead of the second leg in England.
