WEMBANYAMA SMASHES RECORD WITH FASTEST DOUBLE-DOUBLE AS SPURS ROLL ON.
Victor Wembanyama delivered another historic performance, recording the fastest
double-double in NBA history in just eight minutes as the San Antonio Spurs beat the
Chicago Bulls 129-114.
The 22-year-old broke the previous nine-minute record set in 2022, finishing the
game with 41 points and 16 rebounds, alongside four assists, three blocks, and a
steal.
His dominant display powered the Spurs to a ninth straight win, continuing their
surge toward the playoffs. Wembanyama is now averaging 24.2 points, 11.3
rebounds, and a league-best 3.1 blocks per game this season.
San Antonio sits second in the Western Conference with a 57-18 record, just behind
The Oklahoma City Thunder and boast a remarkable 25-2 run since February 1.
Reflecting on the team’s form, Wembanyama said, “We’ve got a healthy locker
room… we’re just loving the experience.”
