ARBELOA FUMES AS REAL EXIT AFTER RED CARD DRAMA.
Real Madrid boss Alvaro Arbeloa slammed the sending-off of Eduardo Camavinga
as his side was knocked out of the Champions League by Bayern Munich.
Camavinga was shown two quick yellow cards late on with the tie level, before
Bayern struck twice in the closing minutes to win 4-3 on the night and 6-4 on
aggregate.
Arbeloa described the decision as “unbelievable” and said the referee “ruined” the
match, adding his side felt “really upset and angry” after what he called a defining
game in their season.
He also suggested the official may not have realised the midfielder was already
booked.
Jude Bellingham labelled the call “a joke,” while teammate Antonio Rudiger refused
to comment.
Bayern’s Luis Diaz, however, backed the decision, saying Camavinga delayed a
quick restart.
The defeat leaves Real facing another trophyless season, trailing in the LaLiga title
race with only a few games remaining.
