ASTON VILLA CROWN DREAM SEASON WITH EUROPA LEAGUE GLORY.
Aston Villa F.C. completed a remarkable campaign by defeating SC Freiburg 3-0 in
Istanbul to win the Europa League.
Stunning strikes from Youri Tielemans and Emiliano Buendía, along with a goal from
Morgan Rogers secured Villa’s first trophy since the 1996 League Cup and their first
European title since 1982.
The triumph caps another outstanding season under Unai Emery, who has guided
the club into the Premier League’s top five and back to the Champions League
despite working with limited resources.
It also marked Emery’s fifth Europa League crown, adding to his previous successes
with Sevilla FC and Villarreal CF.
Villa’s route to glory included victories over Lille, Bologna, and Nottingham Forest
F.C. before finishing the job in dominant fashion against Freiburg.
